Through their services from creating a Safety Committee, conducting safety inspections, safety trainings and implementation of various safety & Workers’ Compensation initiatives, CUSD has reduced their number of claims by 51% over the past 4 years.
ESM also assisted with formalizing and implementing a Return To Work program that has saved CUSD over $173,320 in direct savings during one policy year alone.

PMSIP had a significant caseload, which included both high value and extensive injury claims, many of which appeared would neither settle or close, with compromise and release settlements, the latter of which was necessary to allow PMSIP to windup the company as both a SIG and a California nonprofit corporation. The Board determined that ESM could best work with the third party administrator (“TPA”) to push all of PMSIP’s claims closure, with C&R settlements as their final resolution, which would allow PMSIP to windup and dissolve. In June 2017, through ESM's continued work with the TPA, all of PMSIP’s known/open claim liabilities were successfully resolved, thus allowing PMSIP to wind-up and dissolve PMSIP, as a self-insured group and corporate entity and without being conserved by the State of California, as other similarly situated SIGs had done.
